Transdev in Portland, OR is seeking a Dispatcher to supervise and dispatch Operators, ensuring safe, timely, and quality transit service. You will organize routes, monitor alerts, and coordinate with subcontracted providers from the Control Center and field locations.

The role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of GPS/GIS, and familiarity with Ecolane software, with flexible hours and a strong customer-focused mindset. Competitive benefits apply.

• Must possess valid authorization to work in the United States.
• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of Ecolane software preferred.
• Knowledge of GPS and GIS systems.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information clearly to individuals or small groups.
• Must provide own working equipment (e.g., laptop).
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, e-mail, and/or database software preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must read maps and know the service area.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Customer-service oriented and hospitable.

• Provide world class service and hands-on assistance to customers.
• Organize and route trips to optimize performance and adjust runs during the day.
• Monitor and address dispatch alerts.
• Call clients to verify trip information for no-shows.
• Answer calls from providers to assist with address issues.
• Record and report incidents and accidents to the manager.
• Document provider no-shows or on-time performance issues.
• Ensure schedule compliance.
• Utilize operating systems to monitor, dispatch, and improve service.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and company policy.
• Maintain safe operation environment.
• Generate accurate operational records for reporting and analysis.
• Limit duties to operations unless authorized to expand by senior management.
• Perform day-to-day dispatch from Control Center and field locations.
• Provide feedback on drivers’ performance.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
