Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; some college is plus.
• Minimum of 2 years operations experience in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Previous transportation or public service experience is preferred.
• Experience monitoring computers and dispatching in any field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control movement of buses using computerized systems and manage headways and schedules.
• Visually monitor buses via video displays and communicate with operators.
• Call to determine location and nature of operator problems and determine response.
• Dispatch field staff to maintain on-time performance and implement corrective actions.
• Complete incident reports promptly and accurately.
• Assist on special projects as needed.
