Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate cross-discipline intelligent models, run clash detections, and maintain BIM standards across offices to deliver unified, clash-checked models.

Role supports design teams with guidance, training, and production tasks, ensuring model integrity and adherence to project criteria throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinate models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — run Navisworks clash checks and resolve across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — train production staff and provide design sketches for completed drawings.
• Act as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to ensure coordination through the project lifecycle.
• Perform crosscheck of drawings for consistency with guidelines and QC standards.
• Provide CADD/technical support tasks and manage model health and interoperability.
