Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross‑discipline modeling for transit and multimodal projects. You will coordinate architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a federated, clash‑checked model throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires extensive CADD/BIM expertise using Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks) with strong standards governance and mentorship responsibilities across offices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP to deliver a single federated model.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines to catch conflicts early.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows per Autodesk/Bentley toolsets.
• Mentor and guide production staff; provide design sketches for finished drawings.
• Coordinate model deliverables with clients, agencies, and subconsultants.
• Support project teams with CADD/engineering tasks and file management.
