Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to deliver federated, clash-checked BIM models for transit and multimodal projects in the US. The role focuses on cross-discipline coordination across architecture, structures, roadways and MEP, with Navisworks clash detection and BIM standards enforcement.

You'll mentor production staff, interface with clients and agencies, and support model-based deliverables through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD drafting and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Equivalent additional related experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical/transportation structures, roadway and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — run Navisworks clash detection and lead resolutions.
• Standards & governance — establish and enforce BIM/CADD standards and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentor production staff and provide design sketches.
• Interfaces with clients and subconsultants on model deliverable requirements and data handoff.
• Perform related engineering support tasks and ensure model health and interoperability.
