Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline model coordination on transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate architectural, vertical structures, transportation, roadway design, and MEP models into federated, clash-checked deliverables.

You will run Navisworks clash detection, enforce BIM standards, mentor staff across offices, and ensure consistency with firm QA/QC processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination and clash detection — run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Standards and governance — establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentorship and guidance — mentor production staff and provide design sketches for finished drawings.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to ensure team coordination across the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings for consistency with guidelines and QA/QC standards.
• Provide CADD/technical support like plotting, transmittals, and simple calculations.
