Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking a Transformer Technician III to join our field service team across the U.S. You will assist in transformer assembly, oil processing, degassing, and on-site maintenance at power plants and substations.

The role requires independent work and strict safety practices in high-hazard environments. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in transformer oil processing or assembly, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of transformer oil processing, service, or assembly.
• Clear, professional communication and ability to follow directions.
• Basic computer literacy, including MS Office and online platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assemble transformer components and assist with installation and repair.
• Perform degassing, pressure and vacuum testing with dehydrator units.
• Troubleshoot basic wiring and mechanical issues on site.
• Complete tasks and daily work orders on time and safely.
• Support sales by reporting project opportunities and leads.
