RMS Energy seeks a Transformer Technician II in Kentucky to join our field-service team responsible for transformer assembly, oil processing, and on-site service for critical energy infrastructure.

You will install, maintain, and repair transformers from various OEMs at power plants and substations, working in a safety-first, team-oriented environment. Willingness to travel up to 80% and pass required checks is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 2 to 5 years of experience in transformer oil processing, service, or assembly.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online platforms.
• Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to follow instructions.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting team objectives.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
• Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Aufgaben

• Assemble transformer components such as radiators, bushings, and conservators.
• Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units.
• Re-gasket units and fabricate gaskets or O-rings when needed.
• Assist with teardown and preparation of transformers for transport or disposal.
• Identify and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues.
• Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders accurately and on schedule.
• Inspect and operate tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements when working near noise, electrical hazards, and at elevated heights.
• Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and potential customer leads.
