Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise CFYs or students in resident care under state regulations.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with physicians, families and staff.
• Provide in-services and training for facility staff as needed.
• Complete compliant documentation per policies and payer requirements.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
