Job summary

Thomas McAfee in Greenville, SC seeks an on-call, part-time Transfer Assistant to receive calls, coordinate deceased transfers, and work with families and healthcare or hospice staff to hand off the deceased to our care.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift over 100 lbs, and a professional, compassionate demeanor. Training on safety procedures will be provided; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• Commits to standards of professional appearance and attire.
• Adheres to the highest safety standards and protocols.
• Demonstrates the outmost respect for the deceased and family members during the transfer process.

Job Summary: This is an on call, part-time, position. The associate will drive a company vehicle and will interact directly with families and healthcare or hospice care providers for the sole purpose of transferring the deceased into our care.

Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have an effective ability to lift in order to assist with transfer of deceased from place of death. Physical Requirements: In order to perform the essential job duties, the ideal candidate must be able to complete all the physical requirements of the job, lift and carry over 100 lbs., push/pull up to 300lbs. and use equipment, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Occasional exposure to biological and chemical hazard. PPE will be provided.
