Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Pontiac, MI seeks a press operator to set up, run and monitor up to 2,000 Ton transfer presses, ensuring stamped parts meet quality standards and engineering specifications.

You will reference JES and Plex ERP for work orders, perform inspections, prepare materials, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting daily production goals across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to set up and operate stamping presses.
• Perform quality checks and verify parts meet standards.
• Read and interpret Job Element Sheets (JES).
• Must work well in a team and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Sets up stamping press according to JES and die-set sheets.
• Runs stamping process and monitors quality throughout production.
• Records data in Plex ERP, completes operator inspection sheets.
• Maintains safe, clean work area and adheres to safety policies.
• Assists with loading/unloading and material handling as needed.
