Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO seeks a press operator to set up, run, and monitor up to 2,000 ton transfer presses to produce quality metal stampings per our quality standards.

You will verify parts with gages, record data in the Plex ERP system, and perform routine maintenance while following safety and process policies.

We value ownership through ESOP and teamwork; a high school diploma and at least one year of stamping press experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: One year operating stamping presses (Automatic Feed or Transfer).
• Ability to read and interpret job element sheets and use gages.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust stamping press per JES and die set-up sheet.
• Monitor stamping run and verify quality with gages and records in Plex/ERP.
• Load/unload and move parts and materials up to 40 pounds; ensure labeling and packaging meet specs.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and complete required forms and paperwork.
