Job summary

MSU Texas is seeking a Transfer Coordinator to support transfer students by guiding credit transfer and curriculum planning. You will maintain transfer equivalencies in the SIS and coordinate with Admissions, Academic Advising, and Financial Aid to ensure a smooth student experience.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in college registrar, admissions, or student services.
• Bachelor degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Proficiency with student information systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate catalogs from other colleges and universities; resolve course equivalency questions.
• Serve as primary contact for transfer students, guiding credit transfer and curricula.
• Advise students on articulation agreements as they apply to plans.
• Develop Mustangs Transfer Guide (transfer pathway) materials.
• Monitor transfer student retention and satisfaction; address concerns.
• Maintain records in CRM and Banner; track partnership metrics.
• Prepare state reports on transfer students and partnership performance.
• Provide data-informed recommendations to leadership on partnerships to grow or renegotiate.
• Oversee the transfer dispute process.
