Job summary

UCI Health seeks a Transfer Center RN Coordinator to ensure safe, timely patient access across UCI Health locations. You will act as the primary liaison for referring facilities, coordinating with the Capacity Command Center and clinical teams to support decision-making and patient placement.

Applicants should have 5+ years in Adult ICU/ED, a California RN license, and a BSN, with strong communication and system-wide collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years recent nursing experience in Adult ICU or Adult ED.
• Current California RN license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight timelines.
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, CDPH, EMTALA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate safe, timely patient access into and across UCI Health locations.
• Serve as primary contact for referring facilities to support coordinated transfers.
• Collaborate with the Capacity Command Center and interdisciplinary teams to support clinical decision-making and patient placement.
