Job summary

University of Utah Health seeks a Clinical Operations Coordinator (RN) to support acute patient access within the PSN Hub. You will coordinate transfers, triage referrals, and facilitate tele-care, collaborating with providers, receiving teams, and operations to ensure timely, safe patient movement in a 24/7 environment.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, documentation accuracy in EPIC and related systems, and the ability to work rotating shifts in a high-acuity health system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting (e.g., ICU, ED).
• BSN required.
• Current RN license in Utah or eligibility to obtain via the interstate compact.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming patient transfer, consult, and tele-care requests.
• Gather and document patient clinical information for triage and routing.
• Apply clinical judgment to determine appropriate level of care and service line.
• Facilitate communication between providers and teams to support timely decisions.
• Document interactions and patient information in designated systems (e.g., EPIC, PACS, Teams).
• Support 24/7 operations with rotating shifts and reliable attendance.
