Job summary

New York City Department of Transportation seeks a Senior Training Coordinator to oversee scheduling of employees for Equipment and Safety trainings, with focus on Excel, the Learning Management System, and data-driven decision making.

The role requires coordinating with curriculum designers, trainers, and the training Fiscal Officer on payments, while managing night training operations and agency-wide training for FISA programs. Supervisory duties apply in the supervisor's absence.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and two years of full-time clerical/administrative experience, at least one year in supervisory capacity.
• An associate degree or 60 credits and three years of clerical/administrative experience, including one year supervisory.
• A four-year high school diploma or equivalent and four years of clerical/administrative experience, including one year supervisory.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to the above; one year of supervisory experience required; higher education may substitute for clerical experience at a rate of 30 credits = 6 months up to 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Schedule employees for Equipment and Safety trainings; use Excel databases and the Learning Management System.
• Analyze training data to support decision-making and training planning.
• Manage vendor relations: request services, review invoices, and liaise with the training Fiscal Officer on payments/funding.
• Oversee operations at training facilities for night training.
• Collaborate with curriculum designers and trainers to design and evaluate safety programs and New Hire Orientation for seasonal field staff.
• Coordinate agency-wide scheduling for FISA trainings.
• Supervise administrative staff in the absence of the Training Administration Manager.
