Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Trainee-DOT to join our team in the United States. The Trainee-DOT will learn all aspects of a Route Delivery Driver role, operating delivery vehicles safely while servicing accounts across various formats and ensuring product availability in accordance with PBV standards.

The role focuses on learning to deliver, unload, and merchandise products, following all safety and driving regulations, and advancing toward independent driving within the route network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of commercial driving experience with a CDL preferred.
• Class A CDL required.
• Must pass a DOT physical prior to first day.
• Positive attitude and detail oriented.
• Perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must meet PBV driving qualifications.
• Must be able to work hours necessary to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre/post-trip inspection on truck according to DOT requirements.
• Safely drives a truck with a GVW of 26,000 pounds or more.
• Safely unloads product and ensures proper check-in procedures.
• Stocks shelves, racks, coolers, and displays with proper rotation.
• Breaks down boxes and removes damaged items to ensure proper credit.
• Obtains signatures, store stamps, and invoices for end-of-day settlement.
• Communicates issues to store personnel and management.
• Follows all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
