Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures LLC is seeking a Trainee-DOT to learn all aspects of a Route Delivery Driver role, delivering, unloading, and merchandising products across designated accounts while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, safely drive trucks, stock shelves, and handle invoicing while maintaining exceptional customer service and accuracy on daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of commercial driving experience with a CDL preferred.
• Class A CDL required.
• Pass a DOT physical prior to first day.
• Obtain CDL permit within 45 business days if CDL not held.
• Positive attitude and detail oriented.
• Basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Meet PBV driving qualifications.
• Ability to work hours needed to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre/post-trip inspection on truck per DOT; report problems.
• Safely drive and maneuver a truck with appropriate weight.
• Safely unloads product and complete check-in procedures.
• Stock shelves, racks, coolers, and displays with proper rotation.
• Break down boxes and remove damaged goods for proper credit.
• Obtain signatures, store stamps, and invoices for end-of-day settlement.
• Communicate issues to store personnel and management.
• Follow all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
