Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Trainee-DOT to learn all aspects of a Route Delivery Driver role, including safe operation of the delivery vehicle and service to accounts along a designated route, delivering, unloading, and merchandising products per PBV and customer standards.

The role requires a High school diploma or equivalent, potential for CDL within 45 days if not held, and a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class A CDL required.
• Must pass a DOT physical before start date.
• CDL permit within 45 business days if not held.
• Positive attitude and detail oriented.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Willingness to meet PBV driving qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre/post-trip inspection on truck per DOT requirements.
• Safely drives a truck with GVW of 26,000+ pounds.
• Safely unloads product and ensures proper check-in procedures.
• Stocks shelves, racks, coolers, and displays with proper rotation.
• Unpacks and processes damaged/empty cases for credit.
• Obtains signatures, stamps, and invoices for end-of-day settlement.
• Communicates issues to store personnel and management.
• Follows all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
