Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Trainee Delivery Specialist to learn all aspects of route delivery and customer service, operating the delivery vehicle safely and efficiently on various routes including open and vacation routes.

During training you will perform inspections, drive responsibly, deliver products, merchandise shelves, and build strong relationships with store contacts while maintaining DOT compliance and PBV standards. This is an entry-level role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• DOT physical required prior to first day.
• CDL permit must be obtained within 45 business days.
• Positive attitude and detail oriented.
• Perform basic calculations.
• Regular, reliable attendance.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Able to perform heavy physical labor.
• Team oriented and self-starter.
• Meet PBV driving qualifications.
• Work hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-post-trip inspection on truck according to DOT requirements.
• Safely drives and maneuvers a truck with 26,000+ pounds GVW.
• Serves all scheduled customers by end of shift.
• Delivers product to store.
• Executes delivery on all promotions.
• Unloads, merchandises and rotates product per PBV standards.
• Establishes positive working relationships with account contacts.
• Obtains required signatures and stamps for invoice settlement.
• Communicates issues to store personnel and management.
• Follows DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Follows company rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
