Job summary
J.B. Hunt is seeking a Trailer Technician II in Concord, NC to perform intermediate maintenance and repairs on trailers and related equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, complete work orders, and ensure compliance with J.B. Hunt standards.
The role includes mentoring trainee technicians, attending OE training, and maintaining safety as a priority while working outdoors and with shop equipment. A valid 18+ year old status and hands-on repair experience are required.
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ with 2 years of semi-trailer maintenance experience or equivalent education/experience.
- DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes experience required.
- Able to supply basic tools or participate in toolbox purchase program.
- Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment per manufacturer specs.
- Troubleshoot trailer issues and complete intermediate repairs; process work orders and follow company time standards.
- Assist onboarding and mentor trainee technicians; participate in OE training programs.
