Job summary

J.B. Hunt seeks a Trailer Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repairs on trailers and related equipment. Under routine supervision, you will troubleshoot issues and ensure fleet maintenance meets J.B. Hunt standards at all times.

You will handle preventative maintenance, assist with trainee onboarding, and adhere to safety practices while communicating professionally with team and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 2 years of semi-trailer maintenance/repair experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year of DOT and FHWA inspections experience and air brakes knowledge.
• Must supply basic tools or purchase through toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and complete work orders to meet SRT and warranty guidelines.
• Assist with onboarding and mentorship of trailer technician trainees.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with staff and customers.
