in Concord, NC, seeks a Trailer Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance, service and repair on trailers and equipment, troubleshoot issues, and complete fleet maintenance to meet company standards. You will diagnose and repair fuel systems, batteries, engines, drive trains, air brake systems, and OE components, while completing work orders and mentoring trainee technicians according to safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years of age with 2 years in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
  • Must supply basic tools or use toolbox purchase program.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment per manufacturer specs.
  • Troubleshoot trailer issues and complete intermediate repairs; process work orders and adhere to SRT and warranty guidelines.
  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring trailer technician trainees.

Hunt standards at all times.Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including fuel systems, batteries, engines, drive trains, onboard computers, transmissions, air brake systems and FHWA inspectionsTroubleshoot trailer issues and accurately perform intermediate-level repairs to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelinesAssist with the onboarding and mentorship of trailer technician traineesParticipate in Original Equipment Manufacture training for OE repairsUnderstand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures • Maintain professional communication with J.B.
