Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform basic maintenance and repairs on trailers, containers, and chassis. Under supervision, you will ensure equipment meets J.B. Hunt standards and complete work orders according to SRT and warranty guidelines.

The role requires basic knowledge of air brake systems, FHWA inspections, and safe shop practices. Candidates should be able to work varied shifts and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.
• Proficient with computer tools including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase via toolbox program.
• Preferred: experience with DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes.
