Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform basic maintenance and repairs on trailers, containers, chassis and related equipment. Under supervision, you will ensure fleet readiness by following company standards, parts usage, and warranty guidelines.

You will work with basic tools and MS Office; duties include completing work orders, following safety procedures, and communicating with team members and customers. Location may vary by site; shift flexibility is required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs.
  • Proficient with basic computer use and MS Office applications.
  • Able to perform duties with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections.
  • Accurately perform basic repairs to company and manufacturer specifications, complete work orders, and follow SRT and warranty guidelines.
  • Follow shop safety procedures and communicate professionally with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers.
