Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. seeks a Mobile Trailer Mechanic II to service tractors, trailers, chassis, and power equipment at customer sites with a mobile service truck.

Work is conducted outside a shop under routine supervision with focus on intermediate maintenance and repairs including tires, brakes, electrical diagnostics, and basic welding. The role requires the ability to work outdoors, shifts including nights/weekends, and accurate completion of work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 (≤10k lbs) or 21 (>) with 2 years’ semi-tractor/semi-trailer maintenance experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Military equivalent acceptable if applicable.
• Ability to supply basic tools or purchase through toolbox program.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors/trailers and power equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair ABS systems.
• Operate mobile service truck and manage truck inventory.
• Mentor tractor technician trainees and document work orders accurately.
• Document damage and estimate repair costs; weld and patch as needed.

Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers or power equipment.
