Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our fleet reliable and compliant.

The role involves preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and performing timely repairs to trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to read precision instruments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or similar role with truck repair is expected.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and records.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (when required).
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment in a safe, timely, cost-effective manner.
• Build, rebuild and repair parts of equipment as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures on trucks and trailers.
• Read and interpret precision instruments and electronic diagnostic tools.
• Weld on converter dollies as required and under supervision.
