Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and complete repairs to ensure reliable service.

Responsibilities include reading precision tools, welding when required, and adhering to DOT/OSHA regulations while contributing to a safety‑minded, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Ability to read precision instruments.
• Must possess CDL when required.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.
• Willingness to participate in training.
• Strong customer relations and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment safely and timely.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics.
• Read and use precision instruments to diagnose issues.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems on trucks and trailers.
• Weld as needed for repairs and bodywork.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and documentation.
