Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet reliable. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs while complying with industry standards.

This hands-on role requires tool proficiency, ability to read precision instruments, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service as part of the OD family.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Maintenance/truck repair experience.
• Own tools required.
• Ability to complete paperwork.
• CDL required when applicable.
• Knowledge of truck systems.
• Willing to train and shift changes.
• Must read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment in a safe, timely manner.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures.
• Read precision instruments like micrometers and calipers.
• Weld as needed on trucks.
• Maintain DOT/EPA/ICC/OSHA compliance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic diagnostics.
• Be able to perform any duties as assigned.
