Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring timely repairs to uphold our premium service standards.

You will work in a team, follow DOT/OSHA regulations, and contribute to safe, reliable operations across our service centers. If you enjoy hands-on work and solving technical problems, join our OD family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Ability to read precision instruments and perform diagnostics.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective manner.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other breakdowns on trucks or trailers.
• Read precision instruments like micrometers and calipers.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on components and systems.
• Apply welding skills as needed and adhere to DOT/OSHA regulations.
