Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring timely repairs across company equipment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, hands-on maintenance experience, and be comfortable reading precision instruments. Tools are required, and CDL may be needed for certain positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent; truck repair experience preferred.
• Must provide own tools for job duties.
• Ability to complete required paperwork and records.
• Must possess valid CDL when required.
• Knowledge of trucks/trailers and related systems.
• Ability to read precision instruments and diagnose faults.
• Willing to participate in company-provided training.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures on trucks or trailers.
• Read precision tools like micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges and meters.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on vehicle components.
• Use welding skills for truck repairs when applicable.
• Follow DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
