Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Shop Trailer Mechanic II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs on trailers and trucks in a dedicated on-site shop environment. You will work under supervision of senior technicians and contribute to maintaining safe, reliable equipment for our nationwide fleet.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and 3 years related experience, possess your own tools, and are committed to safety, accuracy in documentation, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience.
• Must supply hand tools for required duties.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and PM on light, medium and heavy-duty trailers and trucks.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on trailer equipment and systems.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and document work on repair orders.
