Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Shop Trailer Technician II for our on-site shop. This role focuses on DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light repairs and equipment handling in a dedicated shop environment.

You will perform PMs, DOT inspections, brakes, liftgates, welding and fabricate as needed; work under supervision of senior technicians and aim for high productivity while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience.
• Willingness to obtain DOT/FMCSA certifications as required.
• Ability to perform visual and mechanical inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and PMs on trailers.
• Diagnose and repair trailer brakes, air lines, lifts, and related systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and document work on RO.
• Coordinate with Service Writer to determine customer needs and estimates.
• Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety policies.
