Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Trailer Mechanic II for an on-site shop position. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light to heavy repairs, and related duties in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires adhering to safety standards and documenting work using the company system. A valid DOT background check and tools are required, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience; or 5 years in field.
• Must supply a basic set of hand tools for job duties.
• DOT pre-employment background screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and PM inspections.
• Execute light, medium and heavy‑duty trailer repairs in shop.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and proper tool usage.
• Document work performed and parts used in Repair Orders.
