Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Trailer Mechanic II for its on-site shop operations. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and other duties such as trailer systems work, under supervision of senior technicians.

Responsibilities include safety-compliant maintenance, parts coordination, and documentation of work. Opportunities exist for skill advancement and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3+ years related field experience or equivalent.
• Hand tools required; OEM training preferred.
• DOT pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating practices and procedures at all times.
• Determine parts needed and coordinate with Shop Parts Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with end-of-day cleanup.
• Assist in diagnostics and support senior technicians as needed.
• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and routine trailer maintenance and repairs.
