Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Trailer Technician I for an on-site shop position. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on trailers, with opportunities to learn advanced mechanical skills under supervision.

The role requires a High School diploma/GED and tool ownership, with preferred ASE certifications. Expect a structured shop environment and clear safety expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and up to 2 years in a related field.
• Own a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA requirements and DOT medical card.
• OEM training and certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating practices and procedures.
• Determine parts required for each job with the Parts Dept.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and tools/equipment.
• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on trailers and vehicles.
• Complete DOT forms and document work in RO/Karmak.
