Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Shop Trailer Mechanic I for an on-site shop role. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light trailer repairs, while assisting senior technicians and documenting work in the Karmak system.

The position requires own tools, a high school diploma, and DOT conditioning; ASE T8 within 18 months is preferred. Benefits include weekly pay and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• Own set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance required.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance inspections on trailers.
• Carry out light repairs and assist higher-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and document work on RO using Karmak.
• Interact with Service Writer to assess customer needs and provide solutions.
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures.
