Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Trailer Mechanic II for an on‑site shop role in Allentown, PA. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and assist senior technicians with advanced tasks in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, documenting work in RO/Karmak, and coordinating with the parts department. Candidates must have a HS diploma and DOT/FMCSA compliance criteria are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of trailer parts and systems, including repair and maintenance.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand for long periods and perform moderately heavy labor.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities with attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs for light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a shop.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing trailer systems and components.
• Coordinate with Shop Parts and Service Writer to obtain parts and communicate estimates.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and complete documentation on RO in Karmak.
