Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Trailer Mechanic II in an on-site shop environment. The role focuses on certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light to heavy repairs, and related duties within a Cox Fleet facility.

The ideal candidate will perform advanced repairs under supervision, assist senior technicians, and adhere to safety and DOT regulations while contributing to high productivity in a structured shop setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or equivalent with additional experience.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating practices and procedures.
• Independently determine parts required for each job and coordinate with the Parts Department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist in end-of-day cleanup.
• Assist in diagnostics and perform repairs under supervision.
• Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and follow up repairs in a shop setting.
