Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Trailer Mechanic II for an on-site shop role. The technician will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and related duties with opportunities to learn advanced mechanical skills. A strong candidate will bring a HS diploma or GED, tool readiness, and DOT/FMCSA familiarity.

The position offers weekly pay, safety gear reimbursement, uniforms, and ongoing technical training to advance your career within a dedicated service network.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and preventative maintenance experience.
• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium, and heavy-duty trailers.
• Assist with repairs, welding, fabrication and parts replacement as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop and document work on repair orders.
• Communicate with service writers and shop manager regarding estimates and RO notes.
• Follow safety policies and meet productivity targets.
