Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a DOT inspection certified Trailer Mechanic for our Meriden, CT facility. We are a global leader in Tank/ISO Tank Container Services and Tank Trailer Parts, supported by a network of industry partners.

This role demands 3–5+ years of tank trailer repair experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to service mechanical and electrical systems on trailers.

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certified mechanic with 3–5+ years of tank trailer repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Experience with air brake systems; welding (TIG) is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work at the Meriden, CT facility.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical or electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Tank service and trailer repair.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Work on air brake systems and ensure DOT HM183/hazmat compliance.
• Welding experience with TIG (optional).
• Inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).

Trailer Mechanic

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5+ years of tank trailer repair experience, to join our team in our Meriden, CT facility!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 1st shift

Pay Range: $22.00 to $42.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
