Depot Connect International (DCI) is hiring a DOT-certified Trailer Mechanic for our Port Allen, LA location. The role involves diagnosing failures and repairing tank trailers and related systems to meet safety and DOT standards.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with a pay range of $24.00–$38.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO, holidays, HSA/FSA options, life insurance, EAP, parental leave, referral program, and more.

Formación

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical/electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair on trailers.
• Install and repair trailer suspension systems.
• Work with air brake systems and repairs.
• TIG welding (aluminum, stainless, or carbon) is a plus.
• Inspect tanks and trailers to meet DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.

We are currently searching for DOT certified Trailer Mechanic with 2-4+ years of tank and/or trailer repair and skin repair experience for our Port Allen, LA location!

Shift Hours: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Range: $24.00 to $38.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

(Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
