Job summary

Depot Connect International is seeking a DOT-registered inspector mechanic with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience. The role involves diagnosing failures, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, and ensuring DOT HM183 compliance.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with pay range $22.00 to $36.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off and holidays, plus optional HSAs/FSAs and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Diagnose failures and repair tank trailers (mechanical/electrical systems).
• Experience with tank service, Betts valves, gaskets and trailer suspension.
• Work with air brake systems and basic diagnostic tools.
• Welding in TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon.
• Inspect tanks/trailers to comply with DOT standards (HM183).

We are currently searching for DOT registered inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience!

Shift Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay Range: $22.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair, Betts valves, gaskets
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• Ability to use handheld diagnostic tools, tablets, basic tech skills
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
