Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is hiring DOT HM-183 certified mechanics with tank trailer repair experience at our Louisville, KY branch. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers, perform tank service, and ensure DOT HM-183 compliance.

We offer day shifts 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, competitive pay from $19.00 to $39.00 per hour, skill-based pay reviews, and benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with matching employer contributions,

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical faults on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and trailer repairs.
• Inspect tanks and trailers for DOT HM-183 compliance.
• Welding of aluminum, stainless, or carbon (TIG) as optional.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on tank trailers and related systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and service on trailers at Louisville facility.
• Ensure compliance with DOT HM-183 and hazmat requirements.
• Assist with welding tasks when required and safe to do so.

We are currently searching for DOT HM-183 certified mechanics with tank trailer repair experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

This position is for our Louisville branch at 3808 Bells Lane, Louisville, KY 40211.

Pay Range: $19.00 to $39.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM-183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
