Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Diesel Refuse Truck Technician in Kingsford, MI to perform inspections, diagnose issues, and repair diesel refuse trucks. You will work on hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other components to keep the fleet safe and reliable.

The role offers starting pay of $25 to $30 per hour with opportunities for higher pay based on experience and ASE certifications, plus benefits after 60 days and a 401K after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel refuse trucks and basic preventive maintenance.
• ASE certification or willingness to obtain improves pay.
• Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs on related systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay:

$25 to $30 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.

Shift:

6am-4pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
