Job summary

Depot Connect International in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a DOT inspection certified mechanic with 2–5 years of tank trailer repair experience to join our team at 11535 Boote Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32218. Shift hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay ranges from $16 to $36 per hour based on experience, with skill-based pay reviews every six months. We offer medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certified mechanic with 2–5 years of tank trailer repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical/electrical systems in tank equipment.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• Welding experience in TIG (optional).
• Ability to inspect tanks and trailers to DOT HM183 standards.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with 2 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience for our Jacksonville, FL location!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay Range: $16.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated Skill In Most Of The Following Areas

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
