R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Trailer Mechanic at our Maybrook, NY service center. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 4:00 pm–2:30 am, with an hourly range of $31.92–$40.27 and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

• Experience performing safety inspections and FMCSA/doc compliance
• Ability to interpret technical manuals
• Experience repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience testing equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance
• Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable; able to work in varying climate conditions

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Maybrook , NY. Service Center.

Job Description

Trailer Mechanic-Hourly Range is $31.92 - $40.27/hr. Full-Time, Monday - Friday 4:00 pm to 2:30 am

• $2500 SIGN ON BONUS* - $1250 at the successful completion of 90 calendar days of employment - $1250 at the successful completion of 180 calendar days of employment

As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependableMust be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
