Job summary

R+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic at our Maybrook, NY Service Center. You will maintain fleet equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and conduct repairs on trucks, trailers, and related components. The role requires diagnostic work and potential welding depending on site.

The position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, immediate PTO access, and a benefits package including insurance and 401(k). Some locations feature employee resorts for lodging and recreation.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Able to perform major repairs and handle AC and electrical systems.
• Must have own tools and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Repair and diagnose diesel engine, electrical, and AC issues.
• Operate welding and related tasks as location allows.

$1000.00 Sign-on-Bonus, First Half paid out at 90 days and second half paid out at 180 days

Job Description

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Maybrook, NY. Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools

Preferred

• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
