Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring a Trailer Mechanic in Maybrook, NY. The role covers diagnostic processes, repair work, and overall trailer maintenance at the service center.

The position is full-time with a Monday–Friday night shift (4:00 pm to 2:30 am). Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company matching, paid vacation and holidays, and resort vacations for employees.

Qualifications

• Experience performing FMCSA safety inspections and documenting compliance.
• Able to interpret technical manuals and repair procedures.
• Experience repairing or replacing defective parts to manufacturer specs.
• Experience testing equipment to meet specs and regulations.
• Experience with trailer PMs and repairs.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work with own tools.
• Dependable and able to work in varying climate conditions.

Job description

Trailer Mechanic, Hourly Range is $27.47 - $34.02 hr.

Full-Time, Monday – Friday 4:00 pm to 2:30 am

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Maybrook, NY.Service Center.As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements:

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred:

Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System

Welding

Experience driving yard tractor/trailers

Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles

Sheet metal and composite panel repair
