Job summary

R+L Carriers, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Mechanic at our Waller, TX Service Center. This full-time role covers diagnostic work, repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers, with shifts Monday through Friday. Earn up to $36.15 per hour and enjoy a strong benefits package.

Qualified candidates will perform safety inspections, interpret technical manuals and ensure work meets FMCSA and manufacturer specifications. Must lift 50 lbs and have your own tools. Welding and Cetaris experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by FMCSA and other regulations
• Must be able to interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure job meets manufacturers’ specifications and regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate conditions when needed

Trailer Mechanic, Earn up to $36.15 hr

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Waller, TX Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
